Employed by Clark County Government for sixteen years.

1973-1980 - Clark County Buildings and Grounds Department

Assisted with training programs associated with the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act (CETA)

1981-1984 - Clark County Disaster Services Coordinator  (Clark County Emergency Services Agency)

• Established CCDS by working with local Fire Departments/EMS Services, Law Enforcement, Community and Mercy Hospitals, Red Cross, as well as State Disaster Services and Federal (FEMA) agencies in developing county wide disaster and recovery plans.

• Assisted in the setup of the Clark County Hazardous Materials Response Team.

• ​Authored first Zoning Law dealing with hazardous waste
